Last night MICHELLE WILLIAMS (and DC Alum) stepped out at Xchange in NYC to celebrate FUSE music stations new ad campaign. Peep the new blonde highlights, the nuetral make-up and the fun and flirty very "summer-esque" frock: it's a complete 180 from what promised to be a VERY edgy punk look for her upcoming Unexpected album.
While I was super-excited about her new direction, I have to admit I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new look. The old on was a cool concept but she never seemed to own it enough to make it believable. Peep the old look below.

Dior's new phone -- which will work world-wide, except in Japan and Korea, where it isn't compatible with local wireless networks -- is priced higher than rival fashion phones, closer to the price range of Nokia Corp.'s premium line Vertu, which also starts in the $5,000 range. Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Giorgio Armani SpA all have phones out that cost around $600.
In addition to all the regular features of a cellphone -- a touchscreen, a camera, ringtones -- the Dior phone offers a new gimmick: a miniature phone barely bigger than a USB key. Dior says the mini "My Dior," as it is called, is handy for women who don't want to rummage through their bags to find their phones. Instead, the mini version of the phone clips to the outside of a bag for easier access. It communicates with the main phone, so people can pick up or make calls with My Dior and use the main phone for more complicated functions.
With mobile phones, fashion brands have insisted on taking part in both design and marketing. Last year, when Italian fashion house Prada launched a phone with South Korea's LG Electronics Inc., Prada tinkered with the touch screen and preloaded content in addition to working on the phone's basic design.
Mr. Toledano said the idea of creating a Dior phone was driven by demand in new luxury markets such as China and Russia.

It was all "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" at the annual Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art last night in NYC. And there were some hits (like BEYONCE who shimmered above in a predictable yet elegant and flattering mermaid style gown) and some misses...(cough) Joy Bryant! So come with me while we take on a journey of super heros and a little too much fantasy. And you KNOW we're gonna give it to you straight. It's what we do!
Very pretty. A- (We had to deduct cause she wore yet another mermaid style).
Oh KIMORA...Here's the thing, I love love love the bold colors and patterns. and I think she came close to hitting the theme, however the strapless bodice is too tight, giving her little lady lumps everywhere. It pains me to say this but B-.
Isn't ANDRE just the cutest? LOVES IT! He always makes his own unique brand of crazy, work for him. A.
I was shockingly bored with this look on JANET. The usual style maven has been struggling in her own image lately. This looks like something she'd rock to a Grammy after-party...Not the courture event of the season. C. 
Ummm MARY J. what the hell is that on your head? This look was another dissappointment. She's been killin' the game lately but this ill-fitting overly voluminous frock did nothing for me. And let's not even TALK bout those bangs. Put your wig back on Mary. C.

Now for VENUS, this is a great look. The tennis pro looks neither like a humble tranny or a model for the Whitney Houston "Rock-Star" wig collection line. B.I try not to talk about Andre Leon Talley too much. He might come beat my ass.
Well look who it is...Jenny from the block where all new mothers stay freakin' FLY! I have no idea how she did it, cause the dress is JUST alright, the hair and make-up are really kinda typical and her man loks like skelator but somehow, someway, she made it all work and look very "old Hollywood." A.
I need Halle Berry to be on the look-out, cause PAULA PATTON is comin' for you. For real Mama Berry, you are one box office bomb and girlfriend is one short hair cut away from being the new mocha screen siren. I love the look. And Robin looks cute too. A.
Now ya'll KNOW I pretty much ignore this lil heffa. EVA LONGORIA-PARKER ain't never really interested me. I find her to be a little too attention-seeking in a needy way. But damn if girlfriend didn't come up in the spot last night and change the game! From it's rich purple hue to the billowing lettuce-edge ruffles, to the brillantly chosen pulled back hair and subdued make-up, everything about this look screams SUPERHERO & FANTASY! This is star power at it's finest! Well done Mrs. Parker, well done. BRAVA! A+

The Bathing Ape Store opened today in West Hollywood. Designers Nigo & Pharell were there to open the doors to the WeHo boutique.
Actors Dania Ramierez, Jonah Hill and producer Joel Silver all attended. But the a-lister of the night goes to Ye West himself...But I gotta say, form the looks of things, by the time this tour is over, KanYe is gonna be about 90lbs. Somebody give my boy a sandwich.

Ok, so here's the perect example of Color Me Fly! BET's Aleesha Renee wore this beautifully cut, spring flock last night to the upfronts. She opted for a nuetral shoe but then grounded the bright dress with a chunky black belt. BEAUTIFULLY DONE!
But then there's Golden Brooks...SIGH. Oh Golden, when will you learn that tube dresses of ANY kind are unflattering on you?
And this ladies brings me to my point: There are rules to this game. No matter how fly the color/print/style/design, if the ish doesn't flatter your figure, you are wasting ERRBODY'S time.
