Opening arguments begin this morning in the R. Kelly child pornography trial. And guess what's first up...Yup the now infamous 30 minute sex tape that has been at the center of this entire investigation.
Prosecutors are expected to show the tape in their opening argument. The theory is that since both Kelly, and the alleged victim deny that is them in the tape, most of the states case will be proving their identities, so they'd like to show the tape upfront to give the jury a frame of reference.
In a case purposely shrouded in secrecy, many are surprised that the Judge, notorious for holding closed door meetings, is allowing the very graphic tape to be shown fully unedited and in it's entirety.
The trial is expected to last at least three weeks and Kelly could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
We at FSL have NOT actually seen the tape (because we don't watch kiddie porn)but we thought we'd show you the next best thing: Dave Chappelle's "Piss On You."
