SPIKE Lee, who has never won an Oscar, is blasting Clint Eastwood, who has won four (Best Director and Best Picture for both "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby"), as part of an attempt to drum up publicity for his next film, "Miracle at St. Anna." Lee's movie is about four black GI's trapped behind enemy lines in 1944.

In Cannes, he complained about the lack of black faces in Eastwood's war movies, "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters from Iwo Jima." Spewed Lee: "His version: The Negro soldier did not exist . . . It's not like he could say he didn't know. It was a conscious decision not to have any black people." Eastwood, also in Cannes, refused to take the bait.
