FOXY BROWN & LIL KIM can check one more thing to their list of similarities. Both struggling rappers have been named in civil lawsuits by publishing house Simon & Schulster.
The book giants paid both undisclosed amounts as advances for books that neither managed to write and now they want their money back. In court papers filed yesterday in Manhattan, Schulster asked for over $100,000 in damages from each.
All parties declined to comment.

The honor is the result of his success writing four of 2007's top 50 songs including the Pussycat Dolls "Buttons" ft. Snoop Dogg; Fergie's "London Bridge," and "Glamorous" ft. Ludacris as well as "Runaway Love," by Luda ft. Mary J. Blige.
While Polow currently holds four other BMI awards, this marked his first time winning BMI Pop Songwriter of the Year.
The event was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. Other honorees included Publisher of the Year EMI-Blackwood Music, Inc, and Daryl Hall and John Oates, who were honored as BMI Icons. Previous BMI Icons include James Brown, Carlos Santana and Isaac Hayes. SOURCE
Foxy's former manager and CEO of Black Hand Entertainment, Chaz "Slim" Williams, spoke out recently, firing back at the Brooklyn rapper's harsh criticism of the album that was released under his tutelage.

In case she may want to make a bigger deal of her displeasure with the record, Williams, who was spotlighted on an episode of BET's documentary series American Gangster last year, issued a warning to Fox Boogie.
"I just want you to know that in times of peace you prepare for war, and you better bet I'm prepared, so I would advise as a cautionary measure, a caveat, don't even do it."
The two have parted ways after working together for over a year.
Next month, Koch plans on re-releasing Brooklyn's Don Diva with a more structured promotional campaign, which includes five new records, videos, publicity and mass marketing. The disc won't hit shelves without Foxy's say-so. SOURCE
Beyonce Knowles has finally come clean about her secret marriage to Jay-Z, admitting that she won’t deny their union.

The former Destiny’s Child singer got hitch to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z in a private ceremony in New York last month, but neither newlywed has talked about the happy news.
Knowles has finally acknowledged the wedding, stating: She says, "I don't deny it (the wedding). I just don't talk about it.
“We've never talked about us and it's kind of protected our relationship. I think it's kept us out of tabloid drama.
"A lot of actresses that have had successful relationships don't talk about them, so neither do I." SOURCE

Foxy Brown -- as in just-released-from-prison Foxy Brown -- really shouldn't be testing the patience of judges. But that's just what she did this morning in Brooklyn.
A judge just issued a bench warrant for Foxy's arrest minutes ago, after she failed to show for a hearing this AM in Brooklyn Criminal Court. The judge called her late this morning and her defense attorney didn't know where she was and hadn't heard from her.
She's facing assault and weapons charges stemming from an incident in which she allegedly pulled a Naomi and bashed a Brooklyn woman with a BlackBerry.

"I WANT TO GET DOWN ON MY KNEES AND THANK GOD...AND THEN IT'S ON"

"Oh man, it feels effin' incredible!" she said, explaining that she couldn't curse because her mother was in the car with her. "I'm so excited and so happy. I'm so happy to be home. My freedom. I have a whole newfound respect for my freedom. Little things I would take for granted. I'm like, 'Oh my God, a Snickers bar, oh my God!' It's an incredible feeling. I feel really good."
Brown (born Inga Marchand) suffers from hearing loss and relied on manager Chaz Williams to repeat the questions for her, but no interpretation was needed to gauge the rapper's relief at leaving her prison cell behind. Asked where her first destination would be on Friday afternoon, Foxy said, "I really, really want to go to church first and get it right with God. It's only through His grace that I was able to survive this, and I want to get down on my knees and thank Him ... and then it's on!"
The most difficult part of being in prison, the 29-year-old MC said, was overcoming others' perceptions of who the real Inga Marchand is versus the character of Foxy Brown.

I know what you're thinking...How in the HELL is Fox makin' moves while she's currently serving a year in Rikers, losing her hearing and recovering from that whole "I may or may-not be preggars" thing....
Well The rapper is reportedly in negotiations with cable VH1 for a reality show. I'm thinking it'll be similar in tone to what Kim did, surrounding her infamous stint behind bars.
