I see we've gone with a different ring huh...
NICK CANNON & MARIAH CAREY-CANNON made their first appearance last night as a couple, a MARRIED couple at Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People Gala in NYC. 
Many say the couple were "Glowing and behaved like newlyweds." Also in attendance were LA Reid, Gayle King and the CEO of Time Warner Dick Parsons (which if you EVER get a chance to meet him, please take a moment to chat. He is FASCINATING). And don't hit the brotha up for money.
Mariah also marked this ocassion, by taking her ass back to work...Oh yeah, she IS a singer with a brand spanking new album out.
Which leads me to my next question. Mariah - look I love you. congrats on the wedding. If you like, I love whateva. But sweetheart, can we talk about your look. I mean ERRYTHING I've seen this chick in since the beginning of her recent media storm has SCREAMED 1996. It's like this is all the ish she WANTED to wear to promote Glitter but never got the chance. Please please please, for the love of Nick Cannon, FIRE YOUR STYLIST.
Now, back to the business at hand. TYLER PERRY & KEENEN THOMPSON were also there looking suspect.
And Chris & Maalak Compton-Rock were also in attendance. I really hope her real dress was under that trench.
And Herbie Hankcock "rocked" the house. Does Jimmy Jam know you borrowed his piotar?
Oh and that OTHER dude running for president, Senator John McCain, was there. They just let ANYBODY in that piece huh?
TERRENCE HOWARD and his "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" co-stars, Anika Noni Rose and Phylicia Rashad were all honored yesterday with caricatures at the legendary Sardi's in NYC.

A freaked-out Rock took the stand for roughly 15 minutes to talk about a most uncomfortable subject -- DNA and baby mamas. As we already reported, Rock's attorney hired the P.I. to the stars to investigate Monica Zsibrita, who had claimed she and Rock had hooked up, and that he was the father of her child. DNA proved otherwise, so Zsibrita changed her tune, alleging Rock raped her. That's when a stressed-out Rock got on the horn with Pellicano, and it was all caught on tape.
On the stand today, Rock was asked what -- if anything -- he knew about Pellicano's tactics, to which he replied, he didn't know jack.
As for the rape allegations, Rock testified, "I'm here a free man, I didn't do anything wrong. You know I didn't do anything wrong!"

CHRIS ROCK is worried about a Barack Obama presidency because, "I don't think a black woman can be first lady of the United States. Yeah, I said it!" Rock cackles in his cover story in Rolling Stone. "A black woman can be president, no problem. First lady? Can't do it. You know why? Because a black woman cannot play the background of a relation ship. Just imagine telling your black wife that you're presi dent? 'Honey, I did it! I won! I'm the president.' 'No, we the president! And I want my girlfriends in the Cabinet! I want Kiki to be secretary of state! She can fight!' "Not the time or place Chris. Not the time.
When is he going to claim his love child, MARIO?

CHRIS SAYS IT'S BETTER TO SHOOT SMACK THAN RAPE A CHICK...

CHRIS ROCK isn't funny at all on a 31-minute tape of a phone call he had in August 2001 with disgraced private eye Anthony Pellicano, who was helping the comic fight a bogus rape charge."Once you're accused of rape, you're just [bleep]ed, you know?" a stressed-out Rock tells the detective. An angry Pellicano replies: "That's why I want to blacken this girl up, totally. I want to make her out to be a lying, scumbag, manipulative [bleep]sucker . . . stupid [bleep]." Rock agrees, telling Pellicano, "I'm [bleep]ed. I'm better getting caught with needles in my arm. Way better. Needles, with pictures. There's Chris Rock shooting heroin. Much better blow to the career."
