Here's a match made in…a lab?

With Amy Winehouse long out of commission, Alicia Keys has signed on to lend her sultry, soulful pipes to the new theme song being readied for the upcoming James Bond installment, Quantum of Solace, by alt-rocker Jack White.

The male half of the White Stripes, who wrote and produced the tune, called "Another Way to Die," will also play drums. The film's soundtrack is due out Oct. 28, while the movie itself, the second 007 flick featuring hunky blond Bond Daniel Craig, hits theaters Nov. 7.

WILL SMITH tops this years list of Hollywood's Top Money Makers, according to Forbes Magazine.

The July 4th box-office sure thing earned a staggering $80 Million last year. That buys a lot of whips and chains for he and Jada's swingin...

Johnny Depp falls in line right behind the Fresh Prince with $72 Million, which I would not shake a stick at.

And 3rd place is shared by Shrek stars EDDIE MURPHY and MIKE MEYERS with $55 million a piece.

Nice.

Smith has star-powered the poorly reviewed superhero hybrid to a $66 million opening weekend, and a No. 1 finish, according to Exhibitor Relations estimates today.

Hancock goes down as Smith's seventh straight movie to open No. 1. If you count Shark Tale, the 2004 animated comedy, as a Smith movie, his streak stands at eight straight.

Overall, Hancock has grossed $107.3 million since "previewing" on Tuesday night and "opening" on Wednesday.

Looking strictly at the movie's first five days, Wednesday-Sunday, Hancock took in $100.4 million, per Box Office Mojo stats, far behind the pace of this summer's two leading movies, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ($152 million) and Iron Man ($112.1 million).

Among Smith movies, Hancock becomes his top Fourth of July opener, a testament to the star's drawing power, yes, but also inflation.

Run the movie math (divide the opening weekend gross by the average ticket price), and the numbers show Independence Day, Smith's signature Fourth of July hit, sold nearly two million more tickets in its opening weekend in 1996 than Hancock did this weekend.

Here's a recap of the top-grossing weekend films based on Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:

1. Hancock, $66 million
2. WALL-E, $33.4 million
3. Wanted, $20.6 million
4. Get Smart, $11.1 million
5. Kung Fu Panda, $7.5 million
6. The Incredible Hulk, $5 million
7. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, $3.9 million
8. Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, $3.6 million
9. Sex and the City, $2.3 million
10. You Don't Mess With the Zohan, $2 million

Kung Fu Panda finished on top, with $60 million, per studio estimates today from Exhibitor Relations Co. You Don't Mess With the Zohan took second, with $40 million.

Elsewhere, last weekend's phenom Sex and the City broke a heel, with ticket sales falling 63 percent, but still managed to bring in another $21.3 million.

If the estimates hold, Kung Fu Panda should nudge Cars for eighth place on the list of all-time animation openers, per the stats at Box Office Mojo.

Here's a recap of the top-grossing weekend films based on Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:

Kung Fu Panda, $60 million
You Don't Mess With the Zohan, $40 million
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, $22.8 million
Sex and the City, $21.3 million
The Strangers, $9.3 million
Iron Man, $7.5 million
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, $5.5 million
What Happens in Vegas, $3.4 million
Baby Mama, $779,090
Made of Honor, $775,000

Both T.I. and "America's Best Dance Crew" judge Shane Sparks revealed exclusively to MTV News — in completely separate interviews — that they're in talks with Brown to star in their next feature films.

"I have a script that I'm working on called 'Bone Deep,' over at Screen Gems, that I'll be starring in with Idris Elba," T.I. said, name-checking the British actor who co-starred with him in "American Gangster" and with Brown in "This Christmas."

At press time, Brown's reps said he was working on two movies, "Heist" (which is presumably the T.I. project) and "Traded," and is in talks for "Phenom" a film about a high school basketball player.

"It's a new-age, young, hip-hop 'Heat,' " Tip said, comparing his film to the 1995 classic that brought Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino together.
(THE RAWEST, DOPEST, BOMBEST, BAD-ASSEST AND MY FAVORTIE MOVIE EVER!)

T.I. will star in and produce the project, and the MC hopes to cast Brown as a young member of a fun-loving criminal crew. "These are young, cool, well-dressed, articulate bank-robbers," Tip explained. "We're actually contemplating Chris Brown. I don't know how concrete that is, but we're contemplating it. ... He'll be the little homey.

"You can definitely expect action, definitely. It will be very entertaining," the "ATL" star promised of his producing debut. "In music, I'm on both sides: the executive business end as well as the artist/performer end. And film is no different."

An excited Sparks told us his next big-screen project "is a movie called 'The Jump-Off,' and it's like a 'High School Musical' meets 'You Got Served.' " (This is probably the movie Brown's reps call "Traded.")

Unlike T.I.'s project, Brown would be tapping feet rather than squeezing triggers in this flick. "Chris Brown is up for the lead guy on it," Sparks added. "Hopefully, that works out. The movie is a smash, and this'll be the icing on the cake. So, be on the lookout for it — it should be out at the beginning of next year. We start filming next month; we're rehearsing right now."

More than a year after signing Eddie Murphy for another go-round as the wisecracking Detroit detective who prefers getting his hands dirty in SoCal, Paramount is now eyeing a summer 2010 release date for the fourth installment in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise.

Variety reports Brett Ratner, who added his frenetic touch to the Rush Hour trilogy and X-Men: The Last Stand, among others, is in talks to direct.

Beverly Hills Cop III may have tanked 14 years ago and been a laugher for all the wrong reasons, but the first two action comedies were blockbuster hits, grossing $234.7 million and $153.6 million, respectively, in the U.S.

The studio is hoping to get cameras rolling on the sequel next year, just as soon as they have a workable script. No writer has yet been assigned the grueling task of making a hopefully R-rated Axel funny again.

SEX & THE CITY PREEMS

SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE preemed last nigth in NYC and errbody and their mama was there to see Carrie, Samatha, Miranda & Charlotte pick up four years later.
Sarah Jessica Parker redeemed herself from her riskay green choice at the films UK preem by rockin' what can only be described as the florr-length Grecian gown that set the nights biggest trend: Metallics.
I don't give a flyin' ish what Maxim says, without this chick or this character, half the skinny little heffas that the mens mag deems "Hot" would be running around dressing like Forever 21 rejects.
Kim Catrall is not sexy. Samatha has a sexiness to her but Kim Catrall IS NOT sexy. and this metallis disaster proves it.
Kirstin Davis played it safe with a Gold frock.
WHAT IS THIS Cynthis Nixon? You know power lesbians need stylist too dammit.

SATC newcomer JENNIFER HUDSON held her own with a gold fitted empire dress. The bob is hot and the shoes are banging. The look, while very fashion forward, was middle of the road by SATC standards.

Her black A-line afterparty frock worked SO much better for me.

I love the make up. And the bob looks really good on her.
MJB looked very flirty and cute in black & white.
And Kendu looked the perfect escort in a low-key blazer/jean combo.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE them together.
Yes, CHRIS NOTH (AKA Mr. Big) baby mama Tara Wilson, is a sista. BTW, I've got a weird story bout how I saw him in Hustler up on Sunset at like 8:30am on a Saturday morning buying porn. Now I know you're saying, "What were YOU doing in Hustler?" And the answer is, buying porn. No, I'm kidding, I was picking up a necklace while I waited for a table at Duke's across the street. Really.
Apparently MICHELLE rolled in after attending Usher's album relase party. And although she should've done a fit change, the dress is still bomb enough to work twice. Now...That being said, don't let me see this ish again.
Yeah but Gayle (also coming from Usher's diggs), not so much. This ish was horrible the first time.
LIL PLASTIC, I mean KIM rolled herself through. You should NEVER blend into the carpet.

I'm not gonna lit to you SATC's Jason Lewis (Rosario Dawson's ex) could certinly get it.

KID SISTER came through and although I know what she was going for, I HATE HATE HATE those shoes. They're just ugly. Perhaps is they under a pant but damn if this ish don't look sickening.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull lived up to huge expectations, delivering $151.1 million in its first five days, per studio estimates today from Exhibitor Relations Co.

The movie accounted for nearly 60 percent of all ticket sales over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, grossing $101 million from Friday to Sunday, and $126.1 million from Friday to Monday.

After debuting with $25 million on Thursday, the movie, as expected, picked up speed over the weekend. Its biggest day was Saturday, when it grossed $37 million.

While the movie didn't set any showy records and didn't make it to the most outsized of projections that pegged a $175 million debut, it did make more money in its first 120 hours than all but four movies in Hollywood history.

In the annals of biggest three-day opening weekends, it ranks 10th, just ahead of this summer's Iron Man, per Box Office Mojo. In the annals of four-day Memorial Day weekend debuts, it ranks second.

Worldwide, it simply scooped up a whole lot of money—$297 million all together, combining domestic and foreign receipts.

The $185 million Steven Spielberg-George Lucas movie, starring Harrison Ford, is the first new Indiana Jones since 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull should shortly overtake both Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ($179.9 million) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ($197.2 million).

Here's a recap of the top-grossing weekend films based on Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:

1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, $101 million
2. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, $23 million
3. Iron Man, $20.1 million
4. What Happens in Vegas, $9 million
5. Speed Racer, $4 million
6. Made of Honor, $3.4 million
7. Baby Mama, $3.3 million
8. Forgetting Sarah Marshall, $1.7 million
9. Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, $940,000
10. The Visitor, $723,000

GREATNESS...

Sydney Pollack helped make a sex symbol of Robert Redford, an Oscar-caliber star of Jane Fonda and a woman of Dustin Hoffman.

Pollack, the quintessential actor's director of Tootsie, The Way We Were and more, who seemed most comfortable in the company of Hollywood's biggest stars, and vice versa, died tonight of cancer at his Los Angeles home.

The filmmaker, a two-time Oscar-winner, was 73.

"Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better," George Clooney said in a statement. "A tip of the hat to a class act. He'll be missed terribly."

Pollack recently worked with Clooney on Michael Clayton, which Pollack acted in and helped produce, and Leatherheads, which he executive produced.

Michael Clayton, a Best Picture contender at this past February's Oscars, brought Pollack his sixth career nomination. He won his pair of statuettes for directing and producing the 1985 Best Picture winner, Out of Africa.

He also earned nominations for directing and producing Tootsie, the beloved cross-dressing 1982 comedy, and for directing the 1969 dance-marathon drama They Shoot Horses, Don't They?.

A former acting teacher who became an in-demand character actor, Pollack had memorable on-screen turns in Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives and his own Tootsie, in which he played Hoffman's exasperated acting agent.

Yes HARRISON, there ARE a buch of colored here.
BET'S 106 & PARK broadcast live from the red carpet at the stateside preem of Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Skulls.
Indy Vet KAREN ALLEN & New-comer SHIA LeBOUF were also on hand.
REGGIE HUDLIN (BET Pres, seen here with Harrison's main jump-off Calista Flockhart) should be proud of himself, this red carpet live taping was a major coup for the negro-network

Yeah Harrison, it's not just you, we find him annoying too.
SHEEK LOUCH & STYLE P walked the red carpet.
TIFFANY EVANS rocked an interesting attempt on an 80's fit

JIM JONES and RYAN LESLIE were there.

Next week Harrison will be claiming DipSet
BTW - You remember when I said there was "nothing sexy about Juelz Santana?" Yeah, I was wrong. I stand corrected.

KRS-ONE signed autographs for polite doo-gooders who had some idea of who he is.

Aleesha Rene, Egypt & Sandy Lomax all came as eye candy.

And ESTELLE continued to dazzle in a safari shirt dress.

And I'm sure what made an interesting yet awkward moment is when AJ Calloway (now working for Extra), got a little too close to his alma mater's set. Hmmm...

SALT N' PEPA hit up the 56th Annual FIFI Awards last night in NYC. IS Pepa a trannie? Just be freakin' real with me.

ESTELLE took the stage at last nights R&B Live event in NYC. While I was worried that the rumored demands from her label to glam her up a bit, would change her naturally funky fresh style, I must say I am lovin' her look as of late. Perhaps we Americans are a bit shallow...
